Only 2 weeks? 2 years later

Hey everyone,

I know it has been a long time since I posted. Anyway, today, I was sitting in class realizing that while it feels like it has been forever, I have only been at college 2 weeks. And I was thinking, "Only 2 weeks?" and I remembered writing a blog post about how the 1st two weeks in France felt like forever. I had a weird urge to write a quick post. Anyway, so I'm in college now, and I'm taking my first french class in over a year, but my french is quickly coming back, which is very exciting. College may not be as much of a totally different world as France was, but it is definitely a bit of a shock. But, I'm having a good time and doing well. So, after "Only 2 weeks," things are definitely chugging along nicely.

Happy friday, everyone!

Life Back Home

Hey Everyone.

It has been a long time since I last posted. Life at home has been totally crazy, a total change of pace from France. I won't bore you all with long-winded details, but here are some photos to wrap up.

Right when I got back to the states, I went to visit a few colleges on the East Coast with my mom. I enjoyed seeing another part of the country as well as getting some good, American food.
Chocolate Chip Pancakes, an omelet, and hashbrowns
One of the schools I visited
Back in Sacramento, there was a special poster waiting for me from my next-door neighbors. It was super cute.
During the last few weeks of my shortened summer, I counseled at one summer camp and went backpacking as part of another summer camp.
The last day of the backpacking trip.
On Tye-die Tuesday at super-hero themed camp.
Once school started, it was back on the treadmill for me. Soccer practice, tennis practice, tons of homework, ect. But, there were some fun activities interspersed.
Our band hosted a private screening of Star Wars with a costume contest because of our space themed playathon. I got 4th place with my Obi Wan Kenobi costume.

I went wakeboarding with my church.

I participated in the political process by handing out anti-death penalty leaflets at a fall arts festival. There was a proposition on the California Ballot to end the use of the death penalty in California.
Well, that's pretty much it. College apps are done and it is just time now to wait. The last semester of high school has started. I'm sure the rest of the school year will go really fast.
